Today you come from another part of the globe
and you take up simply your place again;
as the wave shakes your blond tresses,
they dance cheerfully against the wind.
 

First you swear to me that you are faithful,
that today you love me more than ever,
and that our adventure will last forever.
Then you will slowly advance towards me
and here we go again just as before!

First the anxiety and then anguish
within me compete every day;
soon the habit takes his place
until the minute of your return.

But then you fly and go away
without a speech or a word for me,
leaving on my lips a taste of fever and joy.
 

And then you go away without any regret
and during your last round, you disappear,
leaving to me the mirage of your image
on the pillow.
